Sports Prediction Rules

General Rules

  1. Customer cannot cancel picks once they are submitted.
  2. For over/under picks, game overtime is included in the final score (unless otherwise specified in the app or sport-specific rules).
  3. For half-time line picks, overtime is included as a part of the second half (unless otherwise specified in the app or sport-specific rules).
  4. All minimums, maximums, and payout odds are subject to change without prior written notice.
  5. Regarding suspended games, protest games, or overturned decisions, Winnr follows Las Vegas gaming rules for picking purposes. Otherwise, Winnr does not recognize suspended games, protests and overturned decisions for prediction purposes.
  6. All sporting events must be played on the scheduled date, unless otherwise specified. If an event is postponed and/or rescheduled or there's a change of venue, the event will automatically constitute "no action," which means all virtual funds for that event will be refunded (unless sport-specific rules state otherwise). All parlays will be recalculated excluding that selection of the parlay (e.g. a 3-team parlay becomes a 2-team parlay). Individual tennis matches have no action if the match is not fully completed due to withdrawal/incapacity or disqualification. Note — This rule does not apply to Single Game Parlays (see General Rule #20).
  7. All payouts are calculated on the odds in effect at the time of submitting the pick.
  8. In the case of an obvious error on the posted line, scheduled time, or maximum Risk amount, any picks will be deemed "no action," and all virtual funds will be credited or refunded accordingly. "Obvious error" will be at the direction of Winnr, supported by differences in market odds at the time the pick was submitted.
  9. In the event of a settlement error or in-game score or stat correction, all picks will be corrected to the proper outcome. These corrections may result in a change to customer virtual funds balances, up to 7 days after the completion of the event.
  10. Dates and start time of events shown are for guidance purposes only. Picks will be accepted up to the advertised start time. For any reason a pick is inadvertently accepted after an event or match has started, the selection(s) affected will be made void.
  11. Game scores and times of in-play events are shown for display purposes only. We do not guarantee their accuracy and recommend checking with other sources instead of using them to inform decisions on placing picks. Picks will not be voided or refunded due to discrepancies or inconsistencies in the score display.
  12. All futures picks are accepted as All In, Run or Not Run, Entered or Not Entered. Stakes are lost on a future pick if a selection does not take part. In the event of a tie where 3 or more competitors are offered in one prediction option, the payout will be divided by the number of players/competitors tied.
  13. Winners and losers are official after:
    • Soccer — 90 minutes of play — Overtime and/or Penalty shots are not included
    • Football — NCAA & NFL — 55 minutes of play
    • Basketball — NBA — 43 minutes of play
    • Basketball — NCAA — 35 minutes of play
    • Hockey — NHL — 55 minutes of play
    • All other sporting events — 55 minutes of play
  14. Overtime, quarters or extra innings are counted in the final score when making predictions on totals, moneyline and point spread unless otherwise specified, and with the exception of soccer lines including a price for a draw.
  15. On half time picks, overtime is included as part of the second half.
  16. All period and quarter picks placed are for that specific period or quarter only. All overtime picks placed will be for the full overtime, regardless of how many overtimes.
  17. Other sports: All other contests that involve a scheduled length of play time or time limit must be played to their conclusion or have five minutes or less of scheduled playing time remaining when the contest concludes to be considered official for sports prediction purposes.

Pick Types

  1. Straight Pick — A single selection on a single event that carries a point spread, a total or a money line (or other market sides).
  2. Parlay Pick — A single prediction that links together two or more selections and is dependent on all of those selections winning together. In the event that one of these selections is a PUSH or NO ACTION, the Parlay will be settled at reduced odds based on the outcomes of the other selections (e.g. a 3-selection parlay becomes a 2-selection parlay).
  3. Single Game Parlay (SGP) — A combination of selections within the same event. In the event that one of these selections is a PUSH or NO ACTION, the entire Single Game Parlay will result in a PUSH, regardless of whether the other selections win or lose.
  4. Parlay+ and SGP+ — Combinations that include multiple selections from the same event. The SGP+ will be the product of one or more SGPs or at least one SGP and at least one selection from another event. In the event that one of the selections nested within any individual SGP is a PUSH or NO ACTION, the SGP will result in a PUSH, regardless of whether the other nested selections win or lose (See General Rule #20). The SGP+ payout will be reduced and recalculated after removing any of the nested SGPs that resulted in PUSH or NO ACTION.

Sport-Specific Rules

1. Football

Includes NFL, NCAA College Football, AAF, CFL and Arena Football

Picks on abandoned or postponed matches are considered No Action except for those picks that have already been determined at the time of abandonment or postponement.

If a match venue is changed, picks already placed will stand providing the home team is still designated as such. If the home and away team for a listed match are reversed, then picks placed based on the original listing will be void.

In 2-Way markets Push rules apply unless otherwise stated below. Stakes on straight picks are returned, and in Parlay picks the selection is treated as a non-runner.

Highest/Lowest Scoring Team and Player Yardage markets, only the quoted participant's count. Any Team or Player who are involved in an Abandoned or Postponed match will be treated as a non-runner.

Pre-Game Picks Include Overtime

There must be 5 minutes or less of scheduled game time left for picks to have action, unless the specific market outcome is already determined, unless stated otherwise. All NFL match markets and pre-game markets will be settled according to game stats on www.NFL.com published on day of the game.

For pre-game markets the game must be completed for picks to have action, unless settlement of picks is already determined.

Team Totals, Odd or Even — Zero score by a team will count as Even for settlement purposes.

EXCEPTION: Double Result include overtime — Predict the result at half-time and end of regulation time. The game must be completed for picks to have action.

In-Play Picks Include Overtime

The game or relevant quarter/half must be completed for picks to have action, unless settlement of picks is already determined. For settlement purposes:

  • Half picks (2nd half will include any points scored in Overtime if played unless otherwise stated)
  • Quarter picks (4th quarter will include any points scored in Overtime if played unless otherwise stated)
  • Double Result — Excludes overtime if played.

Player Props

If a player is inactive, or is not on the field for any snaps or plays in a game then all picks on the player have no action.

If a player is on the field for at least one snap in the game, then all picks have action.

Settlement of Picks

Statistics provided by the official score(s) provider or the official website of the relevant competition or fixture will be used to settle picks. Where statistics from an official score(s) provider or official website are not available or there is significant evidence that the official score(s) provider or official website is incorrect, we will use independent evidence to support pick settlement. In the absence of consistent, independent evidence or in the presence of significant conflicting evidence, picks will be settled based on our own statistics.

2. Basketball

Game Markets

All games must start on the scheduled date (local stadium time) for picks to have action. If a match venue is changed, picks already placed will stand providing the home team is still designated as such. If the home and away team for a listed match play the fixture at the away team venue then picks will stand providing the home team is still officially designated as such, otherwise picks will be void.

There must be 5 minutes or less of scheduled game time left for picks to have action, unless the specific market outcome is already determined.

For all matches that are played as part of a two-legged tie; where the aggregate score is equal at the end of regulation time in the 2nd leg, overtime will be included to determine the outcome of 2nd leg match picks.

In 2-Way markets Push rules apply unless otherwise stated below. Stakes on single picks are returned, and in Multi picks the selection is treated as a non-runner.

All pre-game picks include overtime unless otherwise stated.

All first-to-score and first basket markets are settled based on the first field goal unless otherwise stated.

Double Result — Predict the result of the game at half-time and the end of the match, including any overtime played.

In-Play Half Picks Include Overtime

The first half must be completed for first half picks to stand. If a game is postponed or cancelled after the start, for game and second half picks there must be 5 minutes or less remaining for picks to have action, unless settlement of picks is already determined.

In-Play Quarter Picks

The quarter must be completed for picks to have action, unless settlement of picks is already determined.

1st/2nd/3rd/4th Quarter Both Teams to Score X Points — Both teams must individually score the stated number of points within the specified quarter only, including Overtime if played.

Player Props

If a player participates in the game all picks will have ACTION. If a player is inactive, or does not appear in the game, all picks will be NO ACTION.

"First Scorer Type" props refer to the player scoring the first point of the game AND by that method. E.g. Player A Over 0.5 for Player First Scorer Type 2PT means the player must score the first point by a 2-point field goal for the OVER 0.5 to be a win.

3. Baseball

General Rules

If a game starts and is suspended but resumes within 24 hours of the original start time, then all picks have action.

If a game start time has been postponed or rescheduled and will not be played on the same date as the original start, then all picks are no action.

In 2-Way markets Push rules apply unless otherwise stated below. Stakes on single picks are returned, and in parlay picks the selection is removed (e.g. a 3-team parlay would become a 2-team parlay with adjusted payout).

If a match venue is changed then picks already placed will stand providing the home team is still designated as such. If the home and away team for a listed match are reversed (e.g. match is played at the original away team's ground) then picks placed based on the original listing will be void, with the exception of NCAA Baseball specifically, where picks stand irrespective of either a change in venue, or the home and away team being reversed for a listed match.

MLB Picks

All Picks placed on a game have action even if there are starting pitchers or pitching changes for one or both teams.

It is the user's responsibility to ensure they are aware of the starting pitchers and any relevant pitching changes.

In the event of a change in starting pitchers causing a change in the odds, all picks may be void and refunded at our discretion, but only before the start of the game.

For any suspended MLB game that resumes within 72 hours of the suspension, all picks will stand and be settled after the completion of the game. If the game is not completed within 72 hours following the time of suspension, then all picks will be void unless settlement of picks is already determined.

Pre-Game Lines

All pre-game picks include extra innings unless otherwise stated.

Moneyline (To Win) — Subject to 4 1/2 innings rule. If the home team leads after 4 1/2 innings or the away team leads after 5 innings, the moneyline has action.

Run Line, 3-Way Handicaps and Alternative Run Lines — Subject to 8 1/2 innings rule. If the home team leads after 8 1/2 innings or the away team leads after 9 innings, these markets have action.

Game Total, Team Totals, 3-Way Totals and Alternative Game Totals — Subject to 8 1/2 innings rule EXCEPT where the total has already gone over (if total has already gone over the quoted total, then picks on the over will be settled as winners, with picks on the under settled as losers) or where the natural conclusion of the game would have meant the outcome of the total quoted would be determined. Specifically for MLB Spring Training matches settlement will be based on 9 innings only, in instances when the natural conclusion rule could apply.

Pre-Game Markets

All picks have action. Extra innings count unless specified otherwise.

All 1st Innings Markets — 1st inning must be completed for picks to have action, unless settlement of picks is already determined.

To Win and Total Double / Run Line and Total Double — Subject to the 8 1/2 innings rule except where settlement is already determined.

Double Result — Result after 4 1/2 innings, plus result for the whole game. In the event of a match ending in a Tie, then picks will be void.

Game Total Odd/Even — If the combined score is zero then picks will be settled as Even.

Team Total Odd/Even — If team score is zero, then picks will be settled as Even.

Total Runs 5-Way — 8 1/2 innings rule applies unless the total has already reached the highest band, in which case that band will be settled as the winner.

In-Play

All picks are action regardless of pitching changes. Extra innings count, unless stated otherwise.

Moneyline (To Win) — Subject to 4 1/2 innings rule.

Run Line/Alternative Line — Subject to 8 1/2 innings rule.

Game Totals/Alternative Totals — Subject to 8 1/2 innings rule EXCEPT where the game total has already gone over, or where the natural conclusion of the game would have meant the outcome of the total quoted would be determined.

Team Totals — Subject to 8 1/2 innings rule EXCEPT where the team total has already gone over the total.

Run Line (Incl. Tie) — Extra innings count. Subject to 8 1/2 innings rule.

Player Props

All Player Prop picks are subject to 8 1/2 innings rule EXCEPT where the player has already gone over the total.

If a player starts a game, results will be settled based on the player's statistics at the conclusion of the game, regardless of whether the player plays the entire game or is removed from the game early due to substitution and/or injury.

If a player does not start, all selections involving that player will be settled as No Action.

PLAYER TOTAL BASES markets are calculated as Singles (1) + Doubles (2) + Triples (3) + Home Runs (4).

Non-MLB Picks

All picks have action at prices taken, regardless of who pitches for each team. 8.5 innings rule applies, except in event of a Mercy Rule being called where all picks will be graded using the final score at the time.

For 7 innings games played as part of a doubleheader, the 6.5 inning rule will apply.

4. Soccer

90 Minutes Play

All match markets are based on the result at the end of a scheduled 90 minutes play unless otherwise stated. This includes any added injury or stoppage time but does not include extra-time, time allocated for a penalty shootout or golden goal. Picks on any match that finishes before the completion of 90 minutes play, unless otherwise stated, will be void; except for those picks the outcome of which has already been determined at the time the game finishes. The market must be fully determined for picks to stand, for example, First Player to Score or Time of the First Goal picks will stand provided a goal has been scored at the time the game finishes.

The exceptions to this rule are in relation to friendly matches, where all match markets will be settled based on the actual result when the game finishes (excluding any extra-time), irrespective of whether the full 90 minutes is played, and Beach Soccer where markets are specifically settled on 36 minutes play only.

Extra-Time In-Play Markets

Picks are settled on the official statistics for the extra-time period. Any goals, or corners or cards that were taken, or scored or shown during regulation time do not count.

For any player related markets, all players who take part in Extra-Time will be considered "runners," with the exception of picks that are void on players where "Void if player does not start" is selected at pick placement.

In the event of Extra-Time starting but not being completed, picks on any Extra-Time market, unless otherwise stated, will be void; except for those picks where the outcome of which has already been determined at the time the game finishes.

Matches Postponed, Brought Forward or Abandoned

An unplayed or postponed match will be treated as a non-runner for settling purposes unless it is played within the same week (ending on Sunday) in which case the pick will stand unless cancelled by mutual consent.

If a match is rescheduled from the weekend to a Monday night for the purpose of live TV coverage then all picks on that match will stand.

Should any match be played prior to the date or kick-off time denoted then any such match may be included provided the pick is placed not later than the revised kick-off time.

Any match abandoned before the completion of 90 minutes play will be void except for those picks the outcome of which has already been determined at the time of abandonment. The market must be fully determined for picks to stand. The only exception to the above abandoned match rule is for all South American club matches where Full-Time Result and Double Chance markets (both pre-game and In-Play) will be settled on the score at the time of the abandonment providing the relevant league allows the result to stand.

Matches Not Played as Listed

If a match venue is changed (other than to the away team's ground) then picks already placed will stand providing the home team is still designated as such. If the home and away team for a listed match are reversed (e.g. match is played at the original away team's ground) then picks placed based on the original listing will be void.

We will endeavour to identify on our Website all matches played at a neutral venue. For matches played at a neutral venue (whether indicated on our site or not), picks will stand regardless of which team is listed as the home team.

If an official fixture lists different team details to those listed on our Website then picks will be void (e.g. official fixture specifies in the team name: Reserves/Age Group e.g. Under 21's/Gender e.g. Women).

In all other cases picks stand, including instances where we list a team name without specifying the term "XI" in the name.

If a match is played in a non-standard format (i.e. 3 or 4 periods), then all "Half" related markets are void.

Settlement of Picks

Statistics provided by the Press Association (PA) will be used to settle picks. Where PA statistics are not provided or there is significant evidence that the PA statistics are incorrect, we will use independent evidence to support pick settlement.

Specific to Match, Team and Player Statistics markets, settlement will be determined by Opta provided data; and according to their definitions of individual statistics.

In the absence of consistent, independent evidence or in the presence of significant conflicting evidence, picks will be settled based on our own statistics. Picks on a match or qualification are not affected if a team is subsequently disqualified from, or re-instated to, the competition.

Markets

Handicap Picking, Including In-Play (3-Way) — Settlement will be at the odds displayed using the actual score in the match adjusted for the handicap.

Half-Time Result, Including In-Play — Picks will be void if the match is abandoned before half-time.

Half-Time Correct Score — Picks will be void if the match is abandoned before half-time.

1st Half Corners, Including In-Play — Picks will be void if the match is abandoned before half-time unless settlement of picks is already determined. Corners awarded but not taken do not count.

2-Way Corners In-Play — Settled on total number of corners in the match; in the event of an abandonment before 90 minutes have been played then all picks will be void unless settlement is already determined. Corners awarded but not taken do not count.

Double Chance — The following options are available:

  • 1 or X — If the result is either a home or draw then picks on this option are winners.
  • X or 2 — If the result is either a draw or away then picks on this option are winners.
  • 1 or 2 — If the result is either a home or away then picks on this option are winners.

If a match is played at a neutral venue the team listed first is deemed the home team for picking purposes.

Asian Total Cards

Predict the total number of cards in a match. The card line will either be a quarter-card, half-card or whole-card with pick settlement as follows:

  • Card line of 4.5 — If you pick over 4.5, your pick wins if there are more than 4 cards in the match. Otherwise your stake is lost. If you pick under 4.5, your pick wins if there are less than 5 cards in the match. Otherwise your stake is lost.
  • With a card line of a whole number, if the total number of cards in the match is the same as the card line, your stake is returned.
  • Card line of 5.5, 6 — If you pick over, your stake is equally divided between over 5.5 cards and over 6 cards. Your pick wins if there are more than 6 cards in the match. If there are 6 cards exactly, half your stake wins and the other half is returned. Otherwise your entire stake is lost. If you pick under, your stake is equally divided between under 5.5 cards and under 6 cards. Your pick wins if there are less than 6 cards in the match. If there are 6 cards exactly, half your stake is lost and the other half is returned. Otherwise your entire stake is lost.

Card Counting Rules

  • Yellow card counts as 1, red card counts as 2. Second yellows are ignored for settlement purposes (e.g. maximum card count per player is 3).
  • Settlement will be made with reference to all available evidence to cards shown during the scheduled 90 minutes play. Any card shown after the full time whistle has been blown will be disregarded.
  • Cards shown to non-players (e.g. managers, substitutes or substituted players who play no subsequent part in the game) do not count towards the total.
  • In the event of a match being abandoned before 90 minutes have been played then all picks will be void unless settlement of picks is already determined.

Goal Line

In the event of a game being abandoned before 90 minutes have been played all picks are void unless settlement of picks is already determined.

Goal Line 2

Under 2 — Picks win if there is either 0 or 1 goal scored in the match. If there are two goals exactly then the stake is returned. Picks lose if there are three or more goals.

Player Props

All Player Prop markets offered will have action unless otherwise stated in the app.

5. Hockey

General Rules

Markets are based on scheduled 3 x 20 minute periods plus overtime (as well as shootouts) unless otherwise stated. If this scheduled format is not played then picks will be void, with the exception of game props where the result has already been determined.

All picks, pre-game and in-play, INCLUDE overtime, unless otherwise stated. In the event of a game being decided by a penalty shootout, then one goal will be added to the winning team's score and the game total for settlement purposes. This does not apply to markets that exclude overtime/shootouts if played.

"Overtime" constitutes the overtime period PLUS shootout if no goal is scored in the overtime.

In 2-Way markets Push rules apply. Risked virtual funds on single picks are returned, and in parlays the selection is excluded from the payout calculation.

3-Way markets are settled on the score at the end of regulation time, with the exception of "When Will Game End" which is a 3-Way market that includes overtime/shootouts.

Team Totals Odd or Even — If the selected team doesn't score picks will be settled as Even.

Markets Excluding Overtime/Shootouts

The following markets EXCLUDE overtime/shootouts for settlement purposes:

Players must be dressed/active for picks to stand (as per the official NHL Game Center). Any Other Scorer refers to any player not specifically listed.

Highest Scoring Period — If 2 or more periods have the same score Draw will be settled as the winner.

Player Props

Players must be dressed and see ice-time for picks to have action. Markets will be settled according to game stats from the respective official competition site published on the day of the game. Subsequent amendments do not affect settlement.

Player Points — Player points accrued in a game are the combined sum of goals plus assists. Push rules apply.

6. Tennis

General Rules

In the event of any of the following circumstances all picks will stand:

  • A change of schedule and/or day of match
  • A change of venue
  • A change from indoor court to outdoor court or vice versa
  • A change of surface (either before or during a match)

In the event of a match starting but not being completed then all picks will be void.

Total Games and Point Spread Markets (Prematch & In-Play)

These general rules apply to Games in Individual Sets, Games in Match, Player Games, and Point Spread (based on games won). In the event of forfeited points/games, these will count for final settlement.

For the purposes of all such markets a tie-break or Match tie-break is counted as one game.

In the event of retirement, disqualification or change of surface mid-match, picks will be void unless there is no conceivable way the set and/or match could be played to its natural conclusion without unconditionally determining the result of that market.

In the event of a match being delayed or suspended due to weather, darkness, or otherwise, the match will be settled after the resumption of play and upon the conclusion.
